Optical Services

We offer a full complement of primary eye-care services, including comprehensive eye exams and the treatment of eye-related medical conditions. We have a wide selection of glasses and contact lenses and will help you determine which type of correction is the most suited to your condition, lifestyle and individual needs.

We highly recommend that children and adults have regular eye exams to evaluate vision and eye health. Many people are living with eye conditions that can easily be corrected with glasses or contact lenses. Additionally, many common eye diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic eye disease and age-related macular degeneration often have no warning signs and a dilated eye exam is the only way to detect these diseases in their early stages and prevent vision problems.

Astigmatism

Periodic eye examinations are an important part of preventative health care. Many serious eye and vision problems have no obvious signs or symptoms in the early stages.

Contacts

Contacts are a great alternative to glasses for correcting many vision problems. Prior to getting contact lenses, a comprehensive eye exam will determine the prescription that gives you the best distance and near vision..

Eyeglasses

Glasses are used to correct refractive errors and also restore the focusing ability lost with age. Siskiyou Eye Center takes pride in our service, selection and quality.

Farsightedness

Farsightedness (hyperopia) is a common type of vision problem where distant objects are generally seen more clearly than objects that are near. Farsightedness occurs when the shape of the eye prevents incoming light from focusing on the retina.

Nearsightedness

Nearsightedness (myopia) is a common type of vision problem where nearby objects are seen clearly, but distant objects appear blurry. Nearsightedness occurs when the shape of the eye prevents incoming light from focusing on the retina.

Presbyopia

Presbyopia is a normal part of the aging process and typically starts in your 40s. Until we reach our 40s, the lens of the eye is soft and flexible, allowing the eye to focus on distant and near objects seamlessly and without effort.
